Kayak Lake Gray

A private transfer will pick you up from your Hotel to transport us to the shores of Gray Lake, located 110 km from Puerto Natales. The journey will be made by the new road to Paine (south access). Before starting the adventure in the waters of the Grey, our Guide will give a safety talk, an introduction to the handling of the kayak and the details of the route. With the peaks of Paine Grande and the spectacular Gray Glacier in the background, our guide will give safety instructions and rowing. The navigation will last 1.5 hours. and it will take place at the southern end of Gray Lake, where you will have the opportunity to paddle alongside the giant icebergs that, after breaking off from the glacier, sail to the shore of the lake. These floating icebergs are sculpted by the wind and the sun, taking incredible shapes and colors.  During the entire navigation, we will have a privileged view of the majesty of the Paine Massif; El Paine Grande, La Cordillera Olguín and the famous Cuernos del Paine, which together with the turquoise tone of the water, complete a perfect contrast with its granite and sedimentary rock walls.  After rowing in the Gray Lake, we will begin the descent of the Gray River, which has very entertaining sections of rapids that are created due to its capricious rock formations of a very particular beauty. We will also be able to appreciate the different species of aquatic birds that inhabit the river, such as the peculiar spectacled duck (Spectacled duck) and torrent duck (Torrent duck). We will paddle next to the Macizo del Paine during the 25 km long river until it joins the waters of the Serrano River. The trip ends in Pueblito Serrano after 3 - 4 hours of paddling.
